Wrapped up in yellow tape are the arms and hands of victims, family members, communities, and law enforcement. Finding truth and bringing justice to those who call for it finds hurdles at so many points. From lack of funding, and lack of awareness of the laws that govern and restrict. Backlogs of violent cases due to a lack of personnel in police departments can be devastating to the victims harmed and future victims that need not have been.  Research your local laws, statutes of limitations, and procedures when dealing with domestic abuse, missing loved ones, and, at the worst, the families of those taken from us by force and hate.
